In the fall of this year, I had the privilege of working as the A2 for Portland Center Stage’s season opener, Hair. It was my first gig in the city, and a great introduction to professional musical theater.
The show presented some interesting challenges, mainly to do with the intense choreography and how it impacted the microphones. I spent much of my time backstage tracking down the lead to make sure his microphone was sweat free.
Really fun group of people to work with, and a lovely first opportunity in regional theater!
