Asta Baker is a multidisciplinary theater artist with a background in sound, lights, and production management. They’ve worked as a technician and designer for the last five years in California and Oregon, and do their best to bring a positive attitude and a critical mind to any project they work on.

Asta started exploring the performing arts nearly 10 years ago, acting as run crew for The Little Mermaid Junior their freshman year of high school and ensemble for Sweeney Todd their sophomore year. They board opped a few times, but didn’t really fall in love with tech until college. Their freshman year, the Chatauqua new works festival needed (realistically multiple) designer(s) for one of the thirty minute plays, so Asta stepped up; they did sound, lights, and media for Playboy of the Golden West by Isabel Cruz. That was the first real step down the path they’re on today, and they would love to come make your show spectacular!

When Asta isn’t working in theater, they enjoy teaching, video games, media criticism, and music – both making and listening. They have a lovely dog named Bailey, and an adorable cat named Cinder.
